The Hubbard County Developmental Achievement Center brought the magic of the Hundred Acre Wood to life on April 11 with a heartwarming performance of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS at the Armory Arts & Events Center in Park Rapids. Directed by Jen Geraedts, the 30-minute musical featured a talented cast of 16 DAC actors, each bringing beloved characters to the stage with joy and personality.

Cast members included Edna Kako as “Pooh,” Kenny Barr as “Pooh’s Tummy,” Ray Niedzielski as “Tigger,” Patrick Nelson as “Eeyore,” Lora Dudley as “Kanga,” Tina Kendall as “Roo,” Shayna Braunschweig as “Rabbit,” Amy Tangeman as “Owl,” Elisa Boushee as “Piglet,” Kendra Boushee as “Christopher Robin,” Lindsay Gooch as the narrator, and Tina Brown, Greta Carlson, Denise Day, Tim DeMarce, Michael Nodes and Drew Plateck as bees and the chorus. The audience was treated to a delightful journey through favorite songs like “The Tummy Song,” “The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers,” “Halfway Down,” and “Everything Is Honey.”

The performance showcased the creativity, talent, and teamwork of the DAC’s participants, leaving the audience smiling and applauding long after the curtain call.
