David Ceminski: Exhibition May-Aug 2026 at The Tin Ceiling Gallery

Art lovers and community members are invited to celebrate the creative journey of David Ceminski, a talented participant in the CREATE program. On May 20th, from 1 to 3 PM, The Tin Ceiling Gallery will host a reception showcasing a selection of David’s work. These pieces were crafted under the guidance of art teacher Ramona Howey at the CREATE Studio, offering a unique glimpse into his artistic development and vision.



About David Ceminski and His Art


David Ceminski has been an active participant in the CREATE program, where he has honed his skills and explored various artistic techniques. His work reflects the story of his life and work at both Bearly Used and The Depot. A unique approach to medium, color, and storytelling, often blending traditional and contemporary styles. David’s pieces reveal his personal experiences and perspectives, inviting viewers to engage with his creative expression on multiple levels.


Under Ramona Howey’s instruction, David has had the freedom to explore drawing and painting developing a strong foundation in both expression and conceptual thinking. Ramona encourages experimentation and self-discovery, which is evident in the diversity of David’s work. The exhibition at The Tin Ceiling Gallery highlights his work and offers a platform for David to share his art with a wider audience.



Reception: Wednesday, May 20, 1-3 PM


Visitors to the exhibition will experience a curated selection of David’s artwork, including paintings and drawings. The Tin Ceiling Gallery provides a space to display our participants work alongside community artist and other CREATE participants. Attendees will have the opportunity to:


  • Experience the artworks created by David Ceminski on one of our feature walls.

  • Meet David Ceminski and discuss his creative process

  • Learn about the CREATE program and its impact on CREATE participants

  • Enjoy light refreshments during the reception from 1-3 PM


This event is open to the public and free to attend, making it a perfect occasion for families, art enthusiasts, and community supporters to come together and celebrate our programs talent.


The CREATE Program: Fostering Artistic Growth




CREATE offers a variety of programs designed to support individuals with diverse needs and interests. Our Fine Arts Program provides participants with opportunities to explore creativity and showcase their talents, fostering both self-expression and employment possibilities. Through our Day Support Services, individuals build daily living skills and connect meaningfully with their community. Our Employment Services help participants gain skills, experience, and confidence in the workplace. Together, these programs reflect CREATE's mission to empower individuals with disabilities to live full, meaningful lives.

CREATE Studio and Tin Ceiling Gallery is a creative art space dedicated to self-expression, exploration, and inclusion. The studio provides a welcoming environment where individuals of all abilities from our community can engage in hands-on artmaking. Participants have access to quality materials, supportive instruction, and the freedom to create at their own pace. Visiting artists share their passion to help artists learn new techniques.


CREATE Studio explores: Painting, Drawing, Digital Art, Screen printing, Mono Printing, Papermaking, Ceramics, Mosaics.


The studio serves as both a therapeutic and skill-building space, encouraging personal growth, confidence, and community connection through the arts. CREATE Studio also offers opportunities to showcase and sell original artwork at the Tin Ceiling Gallery, helping artists take pride in their work and gain recognition within the community. It is a place where creativity is celebrated and everyone is empowered to share their unique voice through art.
