Join us at CREATE Main on Wednesday, July 8, from 1:00–2:00 PM for an inspiring artist talk with Leo Bird.
In this presentation, Leo will share his journey, including his experiences working at the post office, volunteering, and developing his artistic practice. He’ll discuss how he discovered art as a powerful tool for storytelling and self-expression.
Leo Bird is a visual storyteller and motivational speaker best known for his series The Words He Cannot Say. Using drawings as a visual aid, he shares his personal story of overcoming communication challenges and navigating life on the autism spectrum. As his work has evolved, Leo has found that many of the struggles he once thought were unique to autism are, in fact, widely shared - shaping the direction of his current graphic memoir.
